Essential Knowledge of Beijing Olympics
Volunteers Symbol
The symbol shows three people dancing surmounted by two interwoven red hearts; a symbol that conveys a deep meaning.
The hearts represent the bond between the volunteers, the athletes, the Olympic family and guests, while the dancers symbolize a friendly attitude and a dedicated spirit. The Chinese calligraphy art form has been used to depict the dancers and the symbol sets off the Olympic Emblem - Chinese Seal, Dancing Beijing to perfection.
Theme Slogan
‘One World, One Dream’ is the simple but meaningful slogan adopted for the Beijing Olympic Games, reflecting fully the Olympic spirit and a common dream shared by people worldwide. The value contained in one of the three concepts of Beijing Olympics - People’s Olympics is also reflected in this slogan. With 1.3 billion people, China is endeavoring to build a peaceful world, in which people live in harmony and cooperate with each other. Since the release of the slogan ‘One world, One Dream’, it has replaced ‘New Beijing, Great Olympics’ which was the slogan used during the Beijing bid for the Olympic Games.
Environmental Symbol
The environmental symbol of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games depicts the ‘Green Olympics’ (one of the three concepts of the Games). The symbol is of a green tree with a human figure below it.
Drawn with a single stroke, as a fluttering stripe of color, it resembles the canopy of a tree filled with vitality and hope. Together with the figure beneath it, the symbol looks like a big tree reaching for the sky and conveys a meaning of harmony between mankind and nature. As the man is drawn in the Chinese calligraphy art form, it contrasts the Olympic Emblem.
Olympic Mascot
‘Fuwa’ composed of five images; those of a fish, a panda, the Olympic flame, a Tibetan antelope and a swallow - has been created as the mascot for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The mascot has been designed to convey a message of friendship and peace together with the dream that mankind and nature can live in great harmony.
Each of the five images has been given a nice name - Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying and Nini. When these are read together thus ‘Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni’ it is actually Chinese for ‘Welcome to Beijing’. Each image conveys different wishes and meanings: Beibei (the fish), symbolizes prosperity and harvest; Jingjing, a lovely panda symbolizes the harmonious existence between human and nature; Huanhuan (the Olympic flame), regarded as the elder brother of the five, expresses the Olympic spirit, while Yingying, the Tibet antelope wishes everyone in the world good health and the swallow Nini brings happiness and good luck. As the five images are colored blue, black, red, yellow and green respectively, Fuwa matches the Five Olympic Rings.
Olympic Emblem
Named ‘Chinese Seal, Dancing Beijing’, the emblem of Beijing Olympic Games has three parts - the image of a dancing people, the words ‘Beijing 2008′ and the Five Olympic Rings.
The combination of the dancing people created by the Chinese seal and the words ‘Beijing 2008′ written in the Chinese calligraphy art form below it fully reflects Chinese culture. It also represents the vitality of China. Like the dancing people in the emblem, Beijing will welcome friends and guests from all parts of the world in its friendly embrace.
Olympic Torch
Seventy-two centimeters in height and weighing 985 grams, the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games’ torch is scroll shaped and embellished with a picture of the ‘Lucky Cloud’. As the ‘Lucky Cloud’ is one of the Chinese traditional cultural symbols, the torch is endowed with a Chinese flavor. It differs from previous Olympic torches as it is strikingly lacquered red and silver.
The light aluminium alloy torch is well designed to have the ability to resist low temperatures, low pressure and variable wind directions and also easy to carry. Additionally, it is environmentally friendly as it is fuelled by propane gas. The torch was researched and devised exclusively by the Chinese and so is characteristically uniquely Chinese.

Olympic Medal
The medal for Beijing Olympic Games is elegantly exceptional. Differing from past Olympic Medals, it is the first one that is not made totally of gold. Jade, the traditional Chinese craft standing for the dignity and virtue, was inlaid in the medal endowing it with unusual importance.
On the obverse, the traditional IOC design - goddess of victory Nike and the Panathinaikos Arena is adopted. On the reverse, the Beijing Games emblem is engraved in the jade which is inlaid in the medal. The medal’s design is a good combination of Chinese and Western culture making it a significant piece of artwork in Olympic History.
Three Concepts:
Green Olympics, High-tech Olympics and People’s Olympics, the three concepts of Beijing Olympic Games states the determination and ambition that Beijing will host a great Olympic Games in 2008.
Green Olympics: Protecting the environment and resource, and maintaining an ecological balance are the three main aims to realize at the Green Olympics. Beijing has already promised to spend US $ 6.6 billion to improve the environment. In the not too distant future, coal will be replaced by the clean natural and liquid natural gas, at the same time solar power will be more widely used. Waste and sewage systems will be improved to recycle resources. Many factories will be moved out of the city to help improve the environment of Beijing. In addition, reforestation projects are being undertaken in both the mountains and plains surrounding the city will help to reduce the dust and sandstorms. The concept will not only be displayed through the change of environment, but also from the improvement of public awareness of the environment.
High-tech Olympics: High-tech is also a highlight of the Beijing Olympics. Broad Band, GPS technology and the mobile communications network will be greatly improved during the preparations for the Beijing Olympics. At that time, an integrated transport system will ensure the efficient movement of guests during the Games while Multi-lingual Translator Machines will provide an invaluable service for them. High-tech will also be used for weather forecasts and throughout the Olympic stadiums, etc.
People’s Olympics: The spread of the Olympic Spirit as well as the unique Chinese culture is the main aim of the People’s Olympics. Beijing has already set up a program for ensuring everyone uses correct manners and etiquette in schools, offices, venues and even in daily life of the public at large. More and more hotels, restaurants, museums, galleries, theaters and tea houses are making full preparations as they wait for guests to arrive from all over the world. Also, there is a focus on the protection of Beijing’s ancient cultural relics, buildings, customs, arts and crafts etc. in order to make the Beijing Olympics a harmonious meeting of the West and China, together with an unrivaled service to both Olympians and journalists alike with comfortable accommodation, delicious food and efficient means of communication.

Kissing Tips to Perfect Kissing Technique …
Kissing can be a wonderful prelude to more intimate pleasures, or a joy unto itself. But only if you know what you are doing! Here are tried and true favorite kisses, along with those kissing techniques voted the worst!
Kissing - Perfect Your Kissing Technique!
Kissing techniques vary greatly… so does the appreciation or dislike for these different techniques. After interviewing hundreds of men and women on the subject over a seven year period, I’ve come up with some general findings that I’d like to share with you.
Who is Kissable?
Men and women both thought the idea of kissing someone who was clean, had beautifully full and shapely lips, who was attractive, and who possessed a great smile and nice teeth was a “10” on the kissable scale. Guys also felt that if a woman seemed open and friendly, she was more likely to be the recipient of a romantically spontaneous kiss than a woman that seemed uptight.
Who Likes Kissing the Most?
It seems that even though men think kissing is okay, they looked at it more as a necessary evil to get to the good part. Women seemed to prefer long, lingering kisses that didn’t necessarily have to lead to anything else. Reportedly, for a woman, pressure from their male partner to make it lead somewhere took away from the enjoyment of the moment.
What Types of Kisses are Best and Worst?
Kissing in public is cool, but not in front of Mom. Men loved to be kissed with their eyes open, so that you two lock eyes seems to drive them wild. Men and women both seem to like being kissed in places other than the lips with neck, ears and eyes ranking highly. We won’t discuss other body parts, because this is a PG-17 rated Web site.
Another important aspect of kissing is to use the middle part of the tongue in your kiss because of the large number of sensitive nerve endings there. The kiss you give your partner will be positively electrifying!
The fun came with the kisses that ranked the worst. I’ve never laughed as hard as I did while hearing awful kiss stories shared by dozens of interviewees! Please review your kissing techniques and make sure that you don’t fall into any of these categories.
The Katrina Kiss. If you watch television and are even the least bit aware of world events, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about! This is a kiss with entirely too much water. You are drooled on, slobbered on and when the kiss is over, you feel the need for a towel and maybe a shower. If you have a salivary gland problem, or your partner just makes you drool with lust, try SWALLOWING before you start KISSING.
The Iguana Kiss. Crusty, crunchy, scaly lips are OUT. This is a true case of lizard lips! Keep that kisser soft and touchable. If you run your lips gently across your lovers neck, cheek and lips, they shouldn’t be left with what look like paper cuts.
The Prozac Kiss. You might wonder if this tongue needs tranquilizers, as it appears to be having a nervous breakdown! Fast, furious, darting or high-speed swirling motions reminiscent of a washing machine on the rinse cycle. Interesting I suppose, if you’re into that sort of “household instrument” thing.
The Cave. In this instance your partner’s mouth is open so wide that your tongue meets nothing but air on all sides! There is no exchange of sensation. It’s like you’re kissing by yourself! Try saying something and see if you hear an echo! The Dirty Harry. Guys, either grow a beard or shave. That 5 o’clock shadow thing looks cute, but it can wreck havoc on a woman’s tender body. Whisker burn just plain hurts. You don’t know what it feels like to have sand papery stubble pierce the skin around your eyes or cheeks! With half her face scraped off, a woman feels less than romantic and is more inclined to get up to seek medical treatment than she is to get busy.
Trolling for Tonsils. Everybody likes tongue kissing, but my goodness! A little restraint on the depth of the kiss might be in order. If you have a tendency to extend your tongue to its full length in your partners mouth, be sure to check for a pulse when you get through.
The Kiss of Death. You would swear that there is a body buried around here somewhere, because the smell of decomposition is mighty strong! Brush those teefis! Use one of the vast selections of mouthwashes on the market. Hey, they even come in various colors, so it’s possible to find one that coordinates with your bathroom décor! Get a new toothbrush every 3 months! Visit your dentist and check for gum disease and cavities, both of which contribute to bad breath. Eat more fruits, vegetables, and drink more water to keep your insides clean too
The best kisses are those that are memorable, but leave you pantingly wanting more.
The language of a kiss is communication without words. At various times you want to communicate attraction, affection, love, passion, lust, and I’ll miss you, baby.
Pay attention to what your mate responds to, and what seems to turn him or her off, then adjust your techniques accordingly. The goal is to go down in history as a man or woman with some serious Lip Skillz.

DID, CAN’T, SHOULD, WILL, CAN.
“Did” is a word of achievement.
“Can’t” is a word of defeat.
“Should” is a word of duty.
“Will” is a word of beauty.
“Can” is a word of power.
“Can’t” is a word of defeat.
“Should” is a word of duty.
“Will” is a word of beauty.
“Can” is a word of power.
THE WORD
Just remember that words are powerful… ..so very
powerful that it can change attitudes (for the better or
for the worse), with or without provocation. They can be
triggers, reminders, movers, and motives…Be kind with
your words and listen to positive messages in things that
we have in common… Communication in the ways that make
a positive impact and even possibly profitable (new
friendships, good feelings, etc.) for all parties, is the key.

FOOTPRINTS OF LOVE
True love it comes and goes.
Making footprints on the soul and heart.
Securing paths through this world of woe.
Desperately struggling never to be apart…
Footprints of love make the heart stronger.
Fate causes others to drift far away.
Some passions linger a little bit longer.
Others return on a given special day…
Heart is a mansion love takes possession of.
Future promises that you would never forget.
Floating gracefully on the wings of a dove.
Always, forever loving without deepest regret…
Even love unreturned has it’s rainbow.
A heart, that loves, stays forever young.
When you truly have loved with flow.
Love is only over when life is done…
Making footprints on the soul and heart.

WHY DO I LOVE YOU ?
Because
You’re kind, and sweet and gentle,
Because
You’re wild and silly and exciting
Because
You make me laugh when I’m crying
and cry when I’m laughing
Because
You know me better than anyone else
Because
there’s always something new to
learn about each other
Because
You understand me when
I’m not making sense
Because
You always know when to reach out
Because
Sometimes you seem stronger and
braver than anyone and other times
you’re my very own cuddle bug!!!
BUT MOSTLY
Because
You’re mine and I’m yours
and we’re so great together!!!!
You’re kind, and sweet and gentle,
Because
You’re wild and silly and exciting
Because
You make me laugh when I’m crying

SPREAD LOVE
Someone taught you how to love,
and probably didn’t know it.
And in return, with every day,
It’s now your turn to show it.
When you love, you give a gift,
And when you’re gone it stays
To be passed on by the ones you loved
To make some one else’s day.
So remember someone who loved you,
And show how much you care,
By sharing all the love they gave
With people everywhere.
When you give away your love,
That doesn’t mean it’s gone.
Love will last forever,
so open your heart…
and pass it on.
Spread your love to your friends and family
and probably didn’t know it.
And in return, with every day,
It’s now your turn to show it.
When you love, you give a gift,
And when you’re gone it stays
To be passed on by the ones you loved
To make some one else’s day.
So remember someone who loved you,
And show how much you care,
By sharing all the love they gave
With people everywhere.
When you give away your love,
That doesn’t mean it’s gone.
Love will last forever,
so open your heart…
and pass it on.
Spread your love to your friends and family
WOMAN
Its difficult to understand a woman,
To understand her, you need to spend your life time
To understand her, you need to talk with her
But Still, It will be difficult for you to understand her
The best part of the woman, is to love her
Her love will make you cry
It will make you sorrow,
Even feeling the pain, inside your heat
You will never want to say good bye to her
Hold her hand and look at her face
You can see the seven wonder in front of you
Walk with a woman and watch her smile
And you can hear thousand tunes in your heart
Get caught in the trap of her eyes,
Get breathe in the fragnance of her hair
And get mad, if she looks back at you
Then you will know what a woman is all About
If you love her, never say “I Love You”
Because she will hate you
If you really want to show care
Never Say it in words, because
True Words are not enough for them
Your feelings and emotions
Your happiness and joy
Your motivation and Attitude
Will have meaning, if she is with you
If we understand her truly and if we look at the world
We will see the people with no heartbreaks, no sorrows
No Tears and no fightings because, you will
Undersand that, a Womans is just a Miracle.
To understand her, you need to spend your life time

IS WIFE PRICELESS?
A man came home from work and found his three
children outside, still in their pajamas,
playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and
wrappers strewn all around the front yard.
The door of his wife’s car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog.
Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.
In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened.
He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.
As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went.
He looked at her bewildered and asked, “What happened here today?”
She again smiled and answered, “You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world did I do today?”
“Yes,” was his incredulous reply.
She answered, “Well, today I didn’t do it.”
Priceless , isn’t it?

NO GOD OR KNOW GOD?
An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem Science has with God, The Almighty.
He asks one of his new students to stand and…..
Prof: So you believe in God?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student: Sure.
Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student: Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him.
Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn’t. How is this God good then? Hmm? (Student is silent.)
Prof: You can’t answer, can you? Let’s start again, young fellow. Is God good?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student: No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From…God.. .
Prof: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student: Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?
(Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?
Student: Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?
(Student has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son…Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student: No sir. There isn’t.
(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat,
but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold.
Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)
Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?
Student: You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light….But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t.
If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure.
Sir, science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.
To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)
Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)
Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable. )
Prof: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.
Student: That is it sir… The link between man & god is FAITH.
That is all that keeps things moving & alive…….

TEA CUP
There was a couple who used to go to shop in the beautiful stores. They both liked antiques and pottery and especially teacups. One day in this beautiful shop they saw a beautiful teacup. They said, “May we see that? We’ve never seen one quite so beautiful.” As the lady handed it to them, suddenly the teacup spoke.
“You don’t understand,” it said. “I haven’t always been a teacup. There was a time when I was red and I was clay.” My master took me and rolled me and patted me over and over and I yelled out, “let me alone”, but he only smiled, “Not yet.”
“Then I was placed on a spinning wheel,” the teacup said, “and suddenly I was spun around and around and around. Stop it! I’m getting dizzy!” I screamed. But the master only nodded and said, ‘Not yet.”
Then he put me in the oven. I never felt such heat. I wondered why he wanted to burn me, and I yelled and knocked at the door. I could see him through the opening and I could read his lips as He shook his head, “Not yet.”
Finally the door opened, he put me on the shelf, and I began to cool. “There, that’s better,” I said. And he brushed and painted me all over. The fumes were horrible. I thought I would gag. “Stop it, stop it!” I cried. He only nodded, “Not yet.”
Then suddenly he put me back into the oven, not like the first one. This was twice as hot and I knew I would suffocate. I begged. I pleaded. I screamed. I cried. All the time I could see him through the opening nodding his head saying, “Not yet.”
Then I knew there wasn’t any hope. I would never make it. I was ready to give up. But the door opened and he took me out and placed me on the shelf. One hour later he handed me a mirror and said, “Look at yourself.” And I did. I said, “That’s not me; that couldn’t be me. It’s beautiful. I’m beautiful.”
“I want you to remember,” then, he said, “I know it hurts to be rolled and patted, but if I had left you alone, you’d have dried up. I know it made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I had stopped, you would have crumbled.
I knew it hurt and was hot and disagreeable in the oven, but if I hadn’t put you there, you would have cracked. I know the fumes were bad when I brushed and painted you all over, but if I hadn’t done that, you never would have hardened; you would not have had any color in your life.
And if I hadn’t put you back in that second oven, you wouldn’t survive for very long because the hardness would not have held. Now you are a finished product. You are what I had in mind when I first began with you.”

SOMETHING TO READ WHEN YOU’RE BORED!!
I am Peter Stuyvesant
I have two friends, Benson and Hedges
I came from the city of Marlboro,
In the Salem high country
I Always carry a Mild Seven
I rode on a White Horse
Going to Kingsway in Kent
It was Lucky Strike I fell in love
With the daughter of Master Duke
Her name Was YSL
We got married by Perillys, the priest
We checked in at the house of Dunhill
And booked into room number 555
I laid her on the bad made of Gold Leaf
I played with her two Matterhorns
When I poked in my Rothmans King Size
She cried in delight, “You are a Rough Rider!!!”
You are riding like a mad Camel
When I asked her if she is satisfied
She answered” I want MORE!!!!”
Then suddenly she turned around and asked me if I want to
enter her Gudang Garam.
She said… depan belakang puas, barulah Sampoerna !!!

GOOD MORNING - PRAYER
This morning when I wakened
And saw the sun above,
I softly said,”Good morning, Lord,
Bless everyone I love.”
Right away I thought of you
And said a loving prayer,
That he would bless you specially,
And keep you free from care.
I thought of all the happiness
A day could hold in store,
I wished it all for you because
No one deserves it more.
I felt so warm and good inside,
My heart was all aglow.
I know god heard my prayers for you,
He hears them all you know.
And saw the sun above,
I softly said,”Good morning, Lord,
Bless everyone I love.”

IS IT ANY WONDER !!!
Is it any wonder that the world is filled with pain
when we set aside the beauty for our own material gain?
Is it any wonder that lovers’ hearts grow dim
when we do not hold in honor the love we find within?
Is it any wonder that the homeless are weak and frail
when we put them out of house and home to seek another trail?
Is it any wonder that nature falls to ruin and rubble
because we take with no return allowing it to crumble?
Is it any wonder that children are lead astray
because we did not take the time to show the proper way?
Is it any wonder that evil is strong and bold
when we do not see goodness and let our hearts grow cold?
Is it any wonder racism flourishes, my friend,
when we do not see PEOPLE, but just the color of skin?
Is it any wonder that friendships die and fade
when we forget the reasons in which they were first made?
Is it any wonder our world is scarred and polluted
when we allow our industries to strip it as they’re suited?
Is it any wonder there is such depression and sorrow
when we do not seem to care what will happen tomorrow?
Is it any wonder we do not see the values of our brothers
when we hold our own selves above the needs of others?
Is it any wonder our world is like it is
when we sit and grumble with actions we don’t give?
Is it any wonder we wait in fear of Judgment Day
when we do the things we do, then forget to pray?
when we set aside the beauty for our own material gain?
Is it any wonder that lovers’ hearts grow dim
when we do not hold in honor the love we find within?
Is it any wonder that the homeless are weak and frail

PEOPLE CAN BE SO CRUEL
People can be so cruel, so untrue,
Not everybody will follow by the rules,
At times it’s hard to play it cool,
Oh, they make us feel like fools,
Getting us to fall for the things they say and do,
Lazys and crazys all around,
Nothing, nothing seems real anymore,
That’s hard to accept, there’s no respect,
Not everywhere, not here, not there ,
An imperfect world, full of imperfect people,
The ugliness of sadness is all around,
It’s everywhere around!
Innocence, innocence given and innocence taken,
It’s a horrible ugly thing, it happens but it shouldn’t happen,
Life is terrifying and life is wonderful,
Some of us just haven’t yet got the chance,
The chance to see the beautiful side of life,
Sometimes we take it for granted,
We stop believing and we stop praying,
We start saying, we’ve had enough and it’s time to give up,
Over someone or something,
Getting us to fall for the things they say and do,
Lazys and crazys all around,
But what more could I say,
Life is that way a lot of the time,
Oh yes, people can be so cruel,
Sometimes they don’t even realize the things that they say and do.
Not everybody will follow by the rules,
At times it’s hard to play it cool,
Oh, they make us feel like fools,

STRENGTH OF A MAN
The strength of a man isn’t in the deep tone of his voice.
It’s in the gentle words he whispers.
The strength of a man isn’t how many buddies he has.
It’s how good of buddies he is with his children.
The strength of a man isn’t in how respected he is at work.
It’s in how respected he is at home.
The strength of a man isn’t in how hard he hits.
It’s in how tender he touches.
The strength in a man isn’t in the hair on his chest.
It’s in his Heart . . . that lies within his chest.
The strength of a man isn’t in the weight he can lift.
It’s in the burdens he can carry.
It’s in the gentle words he whispers.
The strength of a man isn’t how many buddies he has.
It’s how good of buddies he is with his children.
The strength of a man isn’t in how respected he is at work.

FRIENDSHIP GROWS
When we first talked to each other
I knew we would always be friends.
Our friendship has kept on growing
And I’ll be here for you to the end.
You listen when I have a problem
And help dry the tears from my face.
You take away my sorrow
And put happiness in its place.
We can’t forget the fun we’ve had
Laughing ’til our faces turn blue.
Talking of things only we find funny
People think we’re insane-If they only knew!
I guess this is my way of saying thanks
For catching me when I fall.
Thanks once again for being such a good friend
And being here with me through it all.
I knew we would always be friends.
Our friendship has kept on growing
And I’ll be here for you to the end.
You listen when I have a problem
And help dry the tears from my face.
You take away my sorrow
And put happiness in its place.

WHERE R U ON ICQ
Upon this line I found you,
on a little proggie called ICQ,
this ocean called the internet,
you threw me an electronic net.
now you have me and what are you to do?
will you keep me locked away in ICQ?
braving the dangers and the threat,
will I c u is that what u choose?
or will I remain just a name,
and you hidden from me just the same.
Can we realize such a dream,
or always disconnect so safe, so clean…

FRIENDS FOREVER..
When we first met you were annoying.
Who knew we would become the best of friends.
Talking on the phone. Chatting on the net.
Every minute thanking God that we met.
My heart grew for you. It begged.
It pleaded for your love, not knowing how to tell.
Two years later we met in person.
My heart leaped for joy.
For the life of me I couldn’t remember my name.
I totally forgot how to speak.
I sat there and watched your every move.
My heart melting with every smile.
“Do you believe in love at first sight?” you asked
“I don’t believe in love,” I lied
When I had to leave my heart fell to the floor.
Why did I have to leave so soon?
So I could return later that year.
To see your smiling face and maybe express what I feel.
The truth is I do believe in love.
I believed in it the moment I saw you.
Now as you read this poem you probably have mixed feelings.
Not only did I write this to say I love you
But to thank you.
I need to thank you for being there through thick and thin. And I think
that is why you are my best friend.
From my heart to yours I want to say,
Thank you and I love you.

LOVE ON THE INTERNET
Though I wasn’t looking for anyone new,
One day I got e- mail and in it was you.
Charming, sensitive and so debonair,
I strongly resisted it go anywhere.
But letters and stories captured my heart,
Filled me with passion almost from the start.
Love on the Internet, how could it be?
These things just don’t happen to people like me.
But doves and butterflies flew into our lives,
Carrying messages we could not deny.
Each person has meaning and love to express,
And we could deny our hearts nothing less.
It’s a beautiful love that has grown between us,
Something beyond any words we discuss.
Much deeper than LOL, cyber kisses and such,
Far down to our souls, beyond human touch.
My love’s not confined by what it can see,
I feel you, I taste you, I experience your dream.
Close my eyes, and I envision what in my heart I can hear,
“Love knows no boundaries, no distance, no fear.”
It’s the soul that captures God’s love in a way
That eternally melts hearts together to stay.
Fused and sealed forever as one,
Love has its way and new life is begun.

WHAT IS FAITH ?
Faith isn’t anything you can see;
it isn’t anything you can touch.
But you can feel it in your heart.
Faith is what keeps you trying
when others would have given up.
It keeps you believing in
the goodness of others
and helps you find it.
Faith is trusting in a power
greater than yourself
and knowing that whatever happens,
this power will carry you through anything.
It is believing in yourself and having
courage to stand up for what you believe in.
Faith is peace in the midst of a storm,
determination in the midst of adversity,
and safety in the midst of trouble.
For nothing can touch a soul
that is protected by faith.
it isn’t anything you can touch.
But you can feel it in your heart.
Faith is what keeps you trying
when others would have given up.
It keeps you believing in

I WISH FOR YOU...
I wish for you…
Comfort on difficult days,
Smiles when sadness intrudes,
Rainbows to follow the clouds,
Laughter to kiss your lips,
Sunsets to warm your heart
Gentle hugs when spirits sag,
Friendships to brighten your being,
Beauty for your eyes to see,
Confidence for when you doubt,
Faith so that you can believe,
Courage to know yourself,
Patience to accept the truth,
And love to complete your life.

THINGS I'VE LEARNED
I’ve learned….
That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of
an elderly person.
I’ve learned….
That when you’re in love, it shows.
I’ve learned….
That just one person saying to me, “You’ve made my day!”
makes my day.
I’ve learned….
That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of
the most peaceful feelings in the world.
I’ve learned….
That being kind is more important than being right.
I’ve learned….
That you should never say no to a gift from a child.
I’ve learned….
That I can always pray for someone when I don’t have the
strength to help him in some other way.
I’ve learned….
That no matter how serious your life requires you to be,
everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.
I’ve learned….
That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and
a heart to understand.
I’ve learned….
That simple walks with my father around the block on summer
nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.
I’ve learned….
That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets
to the end, the faster it goes.
I’ve learned….
That we should be glad God doesn’t give us everything we ask for.
I’ve learned….
That money doesn’t buy class.
I’ve learned….
That it’s those small daily happenings that make life so
spectacular.
I’ve learned….
That under everyone’s hard shell is someone who wants to
be appreciated and loved.
I’ve learned….
That the Lord didn’t do it all in one day. What makes me
think I can?
I’ve learned….
That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I’ve learned….
That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only
letting that person continue to hurt you.
I’ve learned….
That love, not time, heals all wounds.
I’ve learned….
That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to
surround myself with people smarter than I am.
I’ve learned….
That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.
I’ve learned….
That there’s nothing sweeter than sleeping with your babies
and feeling their breath on your cheeks.
I’ve learned….
That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.
I’ve learned….
That life is tough, but I’m tougher.
I’ve learned….
That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the
ones you miss.
I’ve learned….
That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
I’ve learned….
That I wish I could have told my Dad that I love him one
more time before he passed away.
I’ve learned….
That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because
tomorrow he may have to eat them.
I’ve learned….
That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
I’ve learned….
That I can’t choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.
I’ve learned….
That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger
in his little fist, that you’re hooked for life.
I’ve learned….
That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all
the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.
I’ve learned….
That it is best to give advice in only two circumstances; when
it is requested and when it is a life threatening situation.
I’ve learned….
That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.
That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of

DO UNTO OTHERS
One stormy night many years ago, an elderly man and
his wife entered the lobby of a small hotel in
Philadelphia. Trying to get out of the rain, the
couple approached the front desk hoping to get some
shelter for the night.”Could you possibly give us a room here?” the husband
asked. The clerk, a friendly man with a winning smile,
looked at the couple and explained that there were
three conventions in town.
“All of our rooms are taken,” the clerk said. “But I
can’t send a nice couple like you out into the rain at
one o’clock in the morning. Would you perhaps be
willing to sleep in my room? It’s not exactly a
suite,
but it will be good enough to make you folks
comfortable for the night.”
When the couple declined, the young man pressed on.
“Don’t worry about me; I’ll make out just fine,” the
clerk told them. So the couple agreed.
As he paid his bill the next morning, the elderly man
said to the clerk, “You are the kind of manager who
should be the boss of the best hotel in the United
States. Maybe someday I’ll build one for you.”
The clerk looked at them and smiled. The three of
them had a good laugh.
As they drove away, the elderly couple agreed that
the helpful clerk was indeed exceptional, as finding
people who are both friendly and helpful isn’t easy.
Two years passed. The clerk had almost forgotten the
incident when he received a letter from the old man.
It recalled that stormy night and enclosed a
round-trip ticket to New York, asking the young man to
pay them a visit.
The old man met him in New York, and led him to the
corner of Fifth Avenue and 34th Street. He then
pointed to a great new building there, a palace of
reddish stone, with turrets and watchtowers thrusting
up to the sky.
“That,” said the older man, “is the hotel I have just
built for you to manage.”
“You must be joking,” the young man said.
“I can assure you I am not,” said the older man, a sly
smile playing around his mouth.
The older man’s name was William Waldorf Astor, and
the magnificent structure was the original
Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
The young clerk who became its first manager was
George C. Boldt. This young clerk never foresaw the
turn of events that would lead him to become the
manager of one of the world’s most glamorous hotels.

those who are in need, for we might be entertaining
angels.

JOKES
Two friends were talking on the prospects of blogging…
Blogger: I took up blogging full-time about a year ago. And it’s working really fast on my finance!
Friend: So where do you see yourself as a blogger in another year?
Blogger: On the road… homeless… penniless…
A smart sexy young techie blogger proposes to her boyfriend on the internet…
Here I ‘Enter’ your life…
Please ‘Save’ me in your heart…
I promise, I’ll ‘Format’ all your problems…
And ‘Shift’ you towards opportunities…
I’ll ‘Print Screen’ you and only you in my mind…
Not to ‘delete’ you ever from my memory.
Piano tuner: Good morning, sir, I’ve come to tune your piano.
Mr. Bush: But I didn’t ask for a piano tuner!
Piano tuner: I know sir, but your neighbors did.
Teacher: Students, you have forty minutes to write an essay on a soccer match.
Richard: (After two minutes) Here’s my paper, sir.
Teacher: What did you manage to write so quickly?
Richard: Match called off due to rain.
Some men strongly reasons in the merits of having 2 wives, because they believe…
Firstly: Monopoly is always damaging.
Secondly: Competition improves service.
Some techie men believe, women are like Internet viruses:
They enter your life…
Scan your pockets…
Edit your mind…
Download their problems and…
Delete your happiness.

HEART OF TRUE RELATION
To love without condition
To talk without intention
To give without reason
To care without expectation
Is the heart of true relation
To talk without intention
To give without reason
To care without expectation
Is the heart of true relation
WHAT IS A FRIEND ?
A friend is somebody
Who knows you and likes you
Exactly the way that you are.
Someone who’s special
And so close in thought
That no distance can ever seem far.
A friend understands you
Without any words,
Stands by you
When nothing goes right.
And willingly talks
Over problems with you
Till they somehow
Just vanish from sight.
And whether you’re neighbors
Or live miles apart,
A word from a friend gives a lift
To your heart and spirit.
That shows you once more
Why friendship is life’s dearest gift!
Who knows you and likes you
Exactly the way that you are.
Someone who’s special
And so close in thought
That no distance can ever seem far.

What Is Life Without Love?
I fell in love with you once . . .
And while I couldn’t let you know immediately
Eventually, in time, all was revealed.
They say that when you fall into love,
It can never last.
They say that true love grows, takes time,
But from the time I first fell in love with you,
My love has grown.
I know now that if I had the choice
To do it all over again.
I would, without a moment’s hesitation.
Yes, there may be regrets.
Yes, there may be disappointments.
Yes, there may be uncertainty.
But what is life without love?
And while I know you’re not perfect -
After all, who is?
And while there may be things about you which get to me,
I love you, despite them all.
And while I’m sure there may be others,
Considered more beautiful, more lovely, more charming,
There are none considered by me.
For you, my love, are the most lovely in spirit,
The most charming in personality,
The most beautiful person I have ever known -
And as such, I love you.
I said I fell in love with you once -
Well, that wasn’t exactly true.
Because every time you look me in the eye,
And smile that smile of yours,
That bubbles up from within your heart,
I find myself falling in love with you all over again.
No matter what has happened in my day,
No matter how I feel,
I find my heart opening to you all over again
No matter what has happened in the past,
No matter what may, or may not happen in the future,
I find myself in love.
After all, what is life without love?
And what is love without you?
And while I couldn’t let you know immediately
Eventually, in time, all was revealed.

And what is love without you?
WHAT IS LOVE?
Defining love would be like defining an ‘ocean’. Every time you take a plunge into the ocean you are bound to find something new and novel. This is because of the human psyche which is different for different individuals. What could be said to apply to one may fail in case of some other individual.
Love is all about accepting
Accepting is an unconditional mutual agreement between the two individuals in a relationship. It could be said that acceptance is about labeling someone as “okay” and having no particular desire to change them. Love means appreciating
Appreciation is the next step to acceptance. It is about coming to terms you’re your relationship and your partner. True love is about coming to terms with the all the lacuna and accepting a person and relationship in its natural form.
A good relationship comes about when you come to terms with your likes about the other person in the relationship.
Love is wanting and making another person feel good
In the case of true love, both partners try and strive to make things happy for the other. Love is about being unconditional in nature
Make love unconditional in nature and only then would it have the best of foundations to becoming a long and lasting relationship.
Love is about imparting a sense of security to your relationship
So, for a successful relationship, it is always better that you contribute the maximum and make your partner feel secure about the relationship.
Love is about ignoring the trifle little details
If you come across little things that irritate you about your partner, then the better thing to do would be to talk it over and find a solution rather than make a problem out if it! Also you could see the issues and still love your partner for he / she might be worth much more than a trifle little issue!
Love is about patience and trust as the foundation
A relationship is all about giving each other time and lending an assurance. Trust is another important element in a relationship as it acts as cement which holds it together during adverse times.
Love is about keeping envy out
In love, at times is better for the ‘I’ to take a back seat. It is about ‘we’ and not about ‘I’. So for the longevity of your relationship, sink elements such as envy and individual haughtiness! Love is about perseverance
In case of true love, mistakes do happen but learning from mistakes is more important. At times, you would need to persevere to make amend to ensure that your love survives the test of times. Love is about hope and being true
Love is about being true to yourself and to your partner. It is all about hope, hope that you would be there for your partner during the best and worst of times.

FRIENDSHIP GROWS
When we first talked to each other
I knew we would always be friends.
Our friendship has kept on growing
And I'll be here for you to the end.
You listen when I have a problem
And help dry the tears from my face.
You take away my sorrow
And put happiness in its place.
We can't forget the fun we've had
Laughing 'til our faces turn blue.
Talking of things only we find funny
People think we're insane-If they only knew!
I guess this is my way of saying thanks
For catching me when I fall.
Thanks once again for being such a good friend
And being here with me through it all.
I knew we would always be friends.
Our friendship has kept on growing
And I'll be here for you to the end.
You listen when I have a problem
And help dry the tears from my face.
You take away my sorrow
And put happiness in its place.
We can't forget the fun we've had

STRENGTH OF A MAN..
The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice.
It's in the gentle words he whispers.
The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.
It's how good of buddies he is with his children.
The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work.
It's in how respected he is at home.
The strength of a man isn't in how hard he hits.
It's in how tender he touches.
The strength in a man isn't in the hair on his chest.
It's in his Heart . . . that lies within his chest.
The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift.
It's in the burdens he can carry.
It's in the gentle words he whispers.
The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.
It's how good of buddies he is with his children.
The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work.

Mouse Trap..Good One..
A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
What food might this contain? The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning : There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, ” Mr.Mouse , I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me.” ” I cannot be bothered by it.”
The mouse turned to the pig and told him, “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”
The pig sympathized, but said, I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray.
“Be assured you are in my prayers.”
The mouse turned to the cow and said “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”
The cow said, “Wow, Mr. Mouse. I’m sorry for you, but it’s no skin off my nose.”
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer’s mousetrap alone.
That very night a sound was heard throughout the house — like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.
The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer’s wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital , and she returned home with a fever.
Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient.
But his wife’s sickness continued, so friends and neighbours came to sit with her around the clock.
To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.
The farmer’s wife did not get well; she died.
So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.
So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn’t concern you, remember — when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

A goal is a dream with a deadline!!!!
If everything was easy
and nothing made us sad
If everything was easy
and nothing turned out bad
If heartaches never happened
and tears would never flow
We’d stay such little people
and never really grow.
If everything was easy
and fell into our hands
If everything was easy
and went just like we planned
We’d take it all for granted
and feel no greater gain
For strength comes when we suffer
and wisdom comes from pain.
If everything was easy
I’d be no good to you
For how could I look at your heart
and say I’d been there, too?
I’d be a petty person
just an infant all my days
And I’d never thank my Saviour
for the sunshine’s golden rays.
and nothing made us sad
If everything was easy

THE KISS
we stood in the doorway
his hands on my waist
the clock tickling loudly
almost in haste
he moved in closer
his eyes locked in mine
I long for his kiss
For just a moment in time
his lips meet mine
and I feel the sensation
no longer must I wait
to give into the sweet temptation
my knees go weak
my palms become sweaty
I go back to that place
I have been so many times already
the world disappears
all that’s left is him and I
and as we pull away
I feel as though I could fly
his hands on my waist
the clock tickling loudly
almost in haste
he moved in closer
his eyes locked in mine
I long for his kiss
For just a moment in time
his lips meet mine
and I feel the sensation
no longer must I wait
to give into the sweet temptation
my knees go weak
my palms become sweaty
I go back to that place
I have been so many times already
the world disappears
all that’s left is him and I

GOD’S FLOWERS
God’s Flowers
The flowers God has given us
Have a purpose all their own.
Their magical colors brighten up our lives and their beauty brings smiles
when they’re shown.
Some bloom in the spring, some bloom in the fall
Some bloom in the mid-summer’s heat,
But the most amazing thing of all
Is each one has its own little treat.
The beauty of a flower opening
Gives proof of God above.
For that is proof that miracles
Exist on this land that we love.
Roses, carnations and daisies
To mention just a few.
Bring joy, peace and happiness
When they come into our view.
When you give someone flowers
It’s an expression of care and love
Because flowers are a gift from the heart created by God above.
The flowers God has given us
Have a purpose all their own.

HEARING PROBLEM !!!
A man feared his wife was not hearing as well as she used to,
and he thought she might need a hearing aid.
Not quite sure how to approach her,
he called the family doctor to discuss the problem.
The doctor told him there is a simple informal test the husband could
perform to give the doctor a better idea about her hearing loss.
“Here’s what you do,” said the doctor.
“Stand about 40 feet away from
her and in a normal conversational speaking tone see if she hears you.
If not, go to 30 feet, then 20 feet, and so on until you get a response.”
That evening, the wife is in the kitchen cooking dinner,
and he was in the den.
He says to himself, “I’m about 40 feet away. Let’s see what happens.”
In a normal tone he asks,
“Honey, what’s for dinner?”
No response.
So the husband moves to closer to the kitchen, about 30 feet from his
wife, and repeats,
“Honey, what’s for dinner?”
Still no response. !
Next he moves into the dining room where he is about 20 feet from his
wife and asks,
“Honey, What’s for dinner?”
Again, no response.
So, he walks up to the! kitchen door, about 10 feet away.
“Honey, What’s for dinner?”
Again, there is no response.
So he walks right up behind her.
“Honey, what’s for dinner?”
“George, for the 5th time,
CHICKEN!”
and he thought she might need a hearing aid.

FROM THE MOMENT
From the moment I looked into your eyes,
I knew you were the one,
The one I would spend the rest of my life with,
until my time was done.
From the moment I looked into your eyes,
I knew you were my soul mate,
The soul mate I waited forever for,
but didn’t believe in fate.
From the moment I looked into your eyes,
I knew my life was about to change,
The change I knew I needed,
but always felt my life was in a cage.
From the moment I looked into your eyes,
I knew I would be happy forever,
The happiness I have waited so long to have,
but didnt believed in happily ever after.
I knew you were the one,
The one I would spend the rest of my life with,
until my time was done.

FRIENDSHIP
Friendship is something that grows through the years
Withstanding feelings of anger, joy and tears
It is something you cannot live without
A friend you can turn to when in doubt
They should listen carefully and not speak a word
For you would do the same when they want to be heard
A person you can confide in, learn from and trust
This is a friend and everyone must
Be able to have someone just like this
Not a boyfriend to hug, cuddle and kiss
But a person so special, faithful and true
The only one I can think of is a person like you
Our friendship is strong, healthy and great
Through the years I see its wonderful fate
A fate of laughs, greatness and fun
We have only one life to live and this is the one
The past- full of memories that runs through my head
The bad ones never talked about or said
Every moment of life should glisten with fresh morning dew
This reminds me of the greatest friendship one ever knew.

FALLING IN LOVE
How do you know when you’re in love
is it the crazy things you do
is it the fact that my heart skips a beat
everytime that i think of you
Is it the fact that I can’t sleep at night
when your image is in my head
Or is it the fact that I can’t stop smiling
after every word that you’ve said
Is it the need to hold you in my arms
and keep you there forever
Or is it the fact that I wrote you a poem
and sent it to you in a letter
Is it this awful feeling deep inside
whenever I have to take you home
Or is it just being here without you
that makes me feel so alone
Is is this hunger deep inside
that longs for your kiss
I am so happy that I’m in love
for there are so many things I would miss
is it the crazy things you do
is it the fact that my heart skips a beat
everytime that i think of you
Is it the fact that I can’t sleep at night

BUSINESS IS A GAME
Business is a game. The minute you think of it any differently it ceases to be fun and immediately begins to control your life and ultimately drives you crazy with wild obsessions & eventually ruins your family life. Keep things in perspective. First family, second friends, and third your business. Practice this and you’ll be much happier for it. And your business will be much happier as well.

If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient;
If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence;
If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate;
If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice;
If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith;
If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself;
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world.

If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate;
If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice;
If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith;
If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself;
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world.
The Perfect Heart …
One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley.
A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it.
Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart. Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said,
“Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine.” The crowd and the young man looked at the old man’s heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars, it had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in, but they didn’t fit quite right and there were several jagged edges.
In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing.
The people stared — how can he say his heart is more beautiful, they thought? The young man looked at the old man’s heart and saw its state and laughed. “You must be joking,” he said. “Compare your heart with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears.”
“Yes,” said the old man, “yours is perfect looking but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love - I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart, but because the pieces aren’t exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared. Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn’t returned a piece of his heart to me.
These are the empty gouges — giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?”
The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out.
He offered it to the old man with trembling hands. The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man’s heart. It fit,
But not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man’s heart flowed into his. They embraced and walked away side by side.

Marvellous answer…
A mechanic was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car when he spotted the famous heart surgeon in his shop, who was standing off to the side, waiting for the service manager to come to take a look at his car.
The mechanic shouted across the garage,”Hello Doctor!! Please come over here for a minute.”
The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic.
The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked argumentatively, “So doctor, look at this. I also open hearts, take valves out, grind ‘em, put in new parts, and when I finish this will work as a new one. So how come you get the big money, when you and me is doing basically the same work? “
The doctor leaned over and whispered to the mechanic…..

He said: “Try to do it when the engine is running”.

Sooooooooooo…Funny
A father passing by his son’s bedroom was astonished to see the bed nicely made up and verything neat and tidy. Then he saw an envelope propped up prominently on the pillow. It was addressed, “Dad”. With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:
Dear Dad,
It is with great regret and sorrow that I’m writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with you and Mom. I’ve been finding real passion with Joan and she is so nice. I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercings, tattoos, her tight motorcycle clothes and because she is so much older than I am but it’s not only the passion, Dad, she’s pregnant.
Joan says that we are going to be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood, enough for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children. Joan has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn’t really hurt anyone. We’ll be growing it and trading it with the other people in the commune for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want.
In the meantime, we’ll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Joan can get better; she sure deserves it! Don’t worry Dad, I’m 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday, I’m sure we’ll be back to visit so you can get to know your grandchildren.
Your son, Chad
P.S. Dad, none of the above is true. I’m over at Tommy’s house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the report card that’s in my desk drawer. I love you! Call when it is safe for me to come home!

What Satan Fears Most
What Satan fears most
Is a man on his knees;
Not vast marching armies
With great weaponry.
He knows he can stand
Against the power of men
To engage us in battle
Is mere sport to him.
But a man on his knees
With his head bowed in prayer
Is something quite different
To the prince of the air.
For when he sees us in prayer
To our God most high,
He knows we have seen
Through his devilish lies.
That’s why Satan fears most
A man on his knees;
And we’ll keep him trembling
If our prayers never cease.
Is a man on his knees;
Not vast marching armies
With great weaponry.
He knows he can stand
Against the power of men
To engage us in battle
Is mere sport to him.
But a man on his knees
With his head bowed in prayer
Is something quite different
To the prince of the air.
For when he sees us in prayer
To our God most high,
He knows we have seen
Through his devilish lies.
That’s why Satan fears most
A man on his knees;
And we’ll keep him trembling
If our prayers never cease.
God’s Promise
God never promised
A life without pain,
Laughter without tears
Or sun without rain.
But He did promise
Strength for the day,
Comfort for the tears
And light for the way,
And for all who believe
In His Heaven above
He rewards their faith
In His everlasting love.
A life without pain,
Laughter without tears
Or sun without rain.
But He did promise
Strength for the day,
Comfort for the tears
And light for the way,
And for all who believe
In His Heaven above
He rewards their faith
In His everlasting love.
This poem was written for my friend.
I don’t know why I am writing this
I don’t even know if there is a reason
but I sit here typing away a message
to you, my friend, whom I love dearly
words I write hang across the screen
sentences which have no real meaning
I should just stop and do something else
yet, I continue to type this message for you
hoping to show that you are not alone
hoping to show that I am here for you
oh dear friend, I am praying for you
day and night, every moment
I will always think of you
I ask how your day was and I explain mine’s
revealing all the good and bad times I’ve had
I sit here now trying to fill in the void
the missing parts, the lost thoughts in my mind
I wish i could be where you are
and comfort you when you are feeling sad
but the distance between us is so great
all I can do is write this message for you
hoping to show that you are not alone
hoping to show that I am here for you
oh dear friend, I am praying for you
day and night, every moment
I will always think of you
I will pour out my heart
if it would make you smile
for His joy is flowing out of me
I want to give it to you
hoping to show that you are not alone
hoping to show that I am here for you
oh dear friend, I am praying for you
day and night, every moment
I will always think of you
oh Lord, please give my friend peace
oh Lord, please give my friend strength
oh Lord, please let my friend know
that You are always there
I don’t know why I am writing this
I don’t even know if there is a reason

Pathway
As I walk down the road of life
I notice many barriers in my pathway.
I see small logs and stones
Which are easy to overcome.
But I also see
Boulders that stand over my head
And are as wide as an ocean
With the only way around it
Is Up and Over.
I see many who have given up
And stop at the barricades of the boulders
In those times of trouble,
I call on one.
One who can carry me over my fears
And doubts
I call him my best friend
He’s also my Savior
Jesus Christ!
I notice many barriers in my pathway.
I see small logs and stones
Which are easy to overcome.
But I also see
Boulders that stand over my head
And are as wide as an ocean

I Will Paint You A Rainbow
I’ll paint you a rainbow as a gift from me,
Then hang it from heaven for the whole world to see.
On a canvas of love I’ll cover your fears,
With a soft brush I’ll dry all your tears.
I’ll paint you a rainbow with feelings so deep,
My stroke will be gentle, my touch you may keep.
On a palette of words I will tenderly blend,
Colorful thoughts with bright verses to send.
I’ll paint you a rainbow in reds, blues and gold,
Stretched like loving arms ready to enfold.
And deep in the center of the most vibrant hue,
I’ll etch from memory the essence of you.
I’ll paint you a rainbow, a bridge to my heart,
So loneliness and pain can begin to depart.
Just look up at the sky when life hits a bend,
I painted a rainbow for YOU my friend.
Then hang it from heaven for the whole world to see.
On a canvas of love I’ll cover your fears,
With a soft brush I’ll dry all your tears.

Don’t Wait
Before It Is Too Late
If you’ve a tender message
Or a loving word to say
Don’t wait ’til you forget it
But whisper it today.
We live but in the present,
The future is unknown
Tomorrow is a mystery,
Today is all our own.
The tender words unspoken
The letters never sent
The long forgotten messages
The wealth of love unspent.
For these some hearts are breaking
For these some loved ones wait
So show them that you care for them
Before it is too late.
If you’ve a tender message
Or a loving word to say
Don’t wait ’til you forget it
But whisper it today.
We live but in the present,

Is It Any Wonder !!!!2 Comments

People Can Be So Cruel
People can be so cruel, so untrue,
Not everybody will follow by the rules,
At times it’s hard to play it cool,
Oh, they make us feel like fools,
Getting us to fall for the things they say and do,
Lazys and crazys all around,
Nothing, nothing seems real anymore,
That’s hard to accept, there’s no respect,
Not everywhere, not here, not there ,
An imperfect world, full of imperfect people,
The ugliness of sadness is all around,
It’s everywhere around!
Innocence, innocence given and innocence taken,
It’s a horrible ugly thing, it happens but it shouldn’t happen,
Life is terrifying and life is wonderful,
Some of us just haven’t yet got the chance,
The chance to see the beautiful side of life,
Sometimes we take it for granted,
We stop believing and we stop praying,
We start saying, we’ve had enough and it’s time to give up,
Over someone or something,
Getting us to fall for the things they say and do,
Lazys and crazys all around,
But what more could I say,
Life is that way a lot of the time,
Oh yes, people can be so cruel,
Sometimes they don’t even realize the things that they say and do.
Not everybody will follow by the rules,
At times it’s hard to play it cool,

DIFFERENCE between GIVING UP and LETTING GO………
There's a DIFFERENCE between GIVING UP and LETTING GO………
Giving up is sacrificing what was rightfully yours.
Letting go is forgoing what was never yours.
Giving up is sacrificing what was rightfully yours.
Letting go is forgoing what was never yours.
Bleeding Heart
This bleeding heart has bled to death
Once full of life now nothing is left
This bleeding heart once burned with desire
Disappointment and pain extinguished the fire
This bleeding heart had so many dreams
Dreams that were so real or at least they seemed
Dreams of you had me aglow
Some dreams of you yes they hurt me so
Dreams of you made me turn quite roughly
Until I woke up and smelled the coffee
One night one dream made me realize
My heart and soul you shall never victimize
As I look you in the eyes with a vengeful frown
Recalling the dream that taught me never to let my guard down
This bleeding heart can bleed no more
You see for you have locked its door and thrown away the key
Once full of life now nothing is left
This bleeding heart once burned with desire
Disappointment and pain extinguished the fire
This bleeding heart had so many dreams
Dreams that were so real or at least they seemed
Dreams of you had me aglow
Some dreams of you yes they hurt me so

WHY do GUYS change day by day...
It is a question which often arises in the minds of girls that why do guys change from day to day?
When a guy changes unpredictably mostly it happens because he is confused. Actually they are confused about what they really want from you, they just know one thing very clearly that they want you in their life.
Some guys are slow in understanding their relationship and are not sure about what they truly want beyond knowing you. In fact a guy who do acts like that, likes you, but the problem is he don't know how much he like you and keep on assessing his inner feelings about you. So, he tries to do what it takes to keep you around him and when you get closer to him to the extent he is not ready for you to be he pushes you away.
You can do nothing to move forward a guy who is stuck in a situation like this. What you can do is to wait because the hesitancy he is dealing with has nothing to do with you.
Live your normal life and don't close your heart for other guys, until that confused guy make his move and is ready to give you something solid to build your relationship.

THW WOMAN IN YOUR LIFE
Tomorrow you may get a working woman,
you should marry her with these facts as well.
Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are;
Who is earning almost as much as you do;
One, who has dreams and aspirations just as
you have because she is as human as you are;
One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life
just like you or your Sister haven't,
as she was busy in studies and competing in a system
that gives no special concession to girls
for their culinary achievements
One, who has lived and loved her parents
& brothers & sisters, almost as
much as you do for 20-25 years of her life;
One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that,
her home, people who love her,
to adopt your home, your family,
your ways and even your family ,name
One, who is somehow expected
to be a master-chef from day #1,
while you sleep
oblivious to her predicament
in her new circumstances, environment
and that kitchen
One, who is expected to make the tea,
first thing in the morning and cook
food at the end of the day,
even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more,
and yet never ever expected to complain;
to be a servant, a cook, a mother,
a wife, even if she doesn't want to;
and is learning just like you are as
to what you want from her;
and is clumsy and sloppy at times
and knows that you won't like it if she is too demanding,
or if she learns faster than you;
One, who has her own set of friends,
and that includes boys
and even men at her workplace too,
those, who she knows from school days
and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners
to avoid your irrational jealousy,
unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities;
Yes, she can drink and dance
just as well as you can, but won't, simply
Because you won't like it, even though you say otherwise
One, who can be late from work once in a while
when deadlines, just like yours, are to be met;
One, who is doing her level best
and wants to make this most important,
relationship in her entire life a grand success,
if you just help her some
and trust her;
One, who just wants one thing from you,
as you are the only one she knows in your entire house
- your unstinted support,
your sensitivities and most importantly -
your understanding, or love, if you may call it.
But not many guys understand this......
Please appreciate "HER"

TOUCH YOURSELF
I understand the why
Yet I cannot grasp the how;
But if this is the way you must handle us
I will try to understand somehow.
There is one thing that I ask
As you walk away;
Please create a corner in your heart for me
So at least, there, I can always stay.
You will always be my love
That will never change;
Though we are going separate ways
That fact remains the same.
I know we must let each other go
Circumstances force us to set each other free;
But today, I give back to you . . . your words -
Touch Yourself and You Touch Me.
THREE WORDS
Girl: Do you really love me?
Boy: Of course I do.
Girl: I wanna hear you say it.
Boy: I don't have to.
Girl: Why not?
Boy: Because...
Girl: I just want to hear you say it in words.
Boy: I can't...
The girl started to cry softly and said:
Then you don't love me...
The two continued to walk in silence. They
reached the girls home.
Girl: Why?
Boy: Do you really want to know?
Girl: (hesitantly) Yes.
He hugged her gently, kissed the tip of her nose
and whispered in her ear,
"Because three words are not enough..."
Boy: Of course I do.
Girl: I wanna hear you say it.
Boy: I don't have to.
Girl: Why not?
Boy: Because...
Girl: I just want to hear you say it in words.
Boy: I can't...

I MISS YOU
I'm trying to be happy,
Wearing a smile,
But its too painful inside
Everywhere I go I see your face,
And realize how much I miss you,
But I know,
That you're with me forever...
